Guide on life history work with children and adolescents in the adoption process

In the framework of the same project ‘Caminando hacia la adopción’, within which TransformAdopción and other partners recently published on adoption and post-adoption contact amongst siblings, a guide for professionals on life history work with children and adolescents in the process of adoption has now also been published.

Such life history work is central to the enjoyment of these children’s right to identity, as it includes addressing their identity, their history, their biological and adoptive family relationships, as well as their relationships with key people throughout the protection, fostering and adoption process.

CHIP is again grateful for the opportunity to have been able to contribute to this key resource, which adds to the growing offer of useful resources for professionals, families and children in these situations.
