Join the Joint Position Paper on key recommendation on Child Rights and Family Reunification!
The Human Rights Council (HRC) will dedicate its next annual full-day meeting on the rights of the child to take place in March 2022 on the theme “the rights of the child and family reunification”. As per usual practice, it will also be the theme of the next HRC resolution on the rights of the child to be adopted in March. The Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR) has been requested to prepare a report on that theme, in close cooperation with all relevant stakeholders, with a view to providing information for the annual meeting and the resolution.
A group of civil society organizations and UNICEF have prepared a joint position paper with Key recommendations to inform the OHCHR report, the annual day on the rights of the child, and the resolution. Child Identity Protection is pleased to be part of this initiative to ensure that the child’s right to identity, specifically in migration, conflict and emergency contexts is preserved and restored.
